I seriously don’t know why anyone would want to live in Conroe it’s actually a pretty crappy place poor infrastructure roads overcrowded and falling apart no decent restaurants terrible health care the only people trying to lure you here are people who will profit off of your misery !

Downtown Atlanta is not it! As a native Atlantan if I were trying to impress a visitor I might show them Mercedes Benz stadium through Centennial Park up to Peachtree Center then scoot straight on up into Midtown and then either Old 4th Ward and the East Side or Buckhead. I’m pretty sure that would be 10 times more impressive to them than wheeling around Downtown.

I grew up there. You missed much of it! You mostly drove around the edge of the town on the outside of the loop. A lot of the town and where mostly everything is is within the loop.

Lol Overland Park is denser than kcmo and has a higher job density. And Johnson county KS has more jobs and a larger economy than Jackson county mo. Kcmo is a place full of shootings. There’s more jobs around the old sprint campus in Overland Park than downtown kcmo.

Back in the 70’s and 80’s I remember there was an aesthetic of old Texas architecture still apparent compared to nowadays. For example the “Drive-in” still was open at the time. Also, the “Old Avenue D school” aka Girls & Boy’s Club in summers where us kids would go. Back then, most places we patronized were “Moms & Pops” small businesses like “Herb’s Arcade”, “Mission Taco” & “Handy Groceries”.

On the main street on the right, there was a green roofed clock tower, that is the Jefferson County courthouse, where John Brown was tried, and one of those cemetaries you drove past is where he was buried, and you passed Harper's Ferry coming into town

We had dance battles…went swimming…took all type of field trips at Cavile bgc….we were like a big family! I remember the hustlers used to come down the alley of the pjs and throw money to all us kids just because! Ima project baby and proud of it! ❤
